Saint Peter's Church of Saint-Pol-de-Léon

The church is located in the French department of Finistère, in the commune of Saint-Pol-de-Léon, Port Street.
The building was registered as a historical monument in 1997. It was built at the end of the 14th century and in the first half of the 15th century. The façade and the bell tower were rebuilt in 1772 in the Baroque style by Nicolas Saffray, builder for the King. The north aisle, as well as the western façade, were redone in the 17th century. The framework and the roof were redone in 1875-1876. Once in the shape of a cross, the church has lost its two wings, and the nave is now the oldest part. In 1533, the church became the seat of the Brotherhood of the Dead. It served as a place of prayer for the retirement home of the priests of the diocese.
