La chiesa è situata nel dipartimento francese del Finistère, nel comune di Saint-Pol-de-Léon, rue du Port.
L'edificio è stato registrato come monumento storico nel 1997. Fu costruito alla fine del XIV secolo e nella prima metà del XV secolo. La facciata e il campanile furono ricostruiti nel 1772 in stile barocco da Nicolas Saffray, imprenditore dei lavori del Re. Il colonnato nord, così come la facciata occidentale, furono rifatti nel XVII secolo. La struttura e la copertura furono rifatte nel 1875-1876. Un tempo a forma di croce, la chiesa ha perso le sue due ali, e la navata è ora la parte più antica. Nel 1533, la chiesa era diventata la sede della confraternita dei Trépassés. Ha servito come luogo di preghiera per la casa di riposo dei sacerdoti del diocesi.
