Luberon Regional Nature Park

The Luberon Regional Natural Park is a natural park in the Luberon, a low mountainous French massif that stretches from east to west between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Vaucluse and comprises three "mountains": the eastern Luberon, the Grand Luberon and the Petit Luberon. It is home to an exceptionally diverse fauna and flora and a valuable architectural and landscape heritage.

The park extends over two departments, the Vaucluse (84) and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (04), it extends over eighty-five municipalities but only houses seventy-seven municipalities in 2009 and 167,676 in 2006.

It covers an area of 185,145 hectares and extends from Cavaillon in the west to the border of the Verdon Regional Nature Park in the east, with the Durance acting as a border between the two. In the north, the Luberon is bordered by the Coulon-Calavon and Largue valleys, where we distinguish the Apt basin in the west from that of Manosque-Forcalquier, in the east.
