Set on 5 ha., just outside the village of Asson, between Pau and Lourdes, the Asson zoo has a large collection of 500 wild animals belonging to approximately a hundred different species. A genuine conservation area, it participates in more than 30 European programmes for endangered species: Siberian tiger, snow leopard, red panda, many monkeys and lemurs. The park allows visitors to mingle with animals in semi-freedom (kangaroos, lemurs, birds) moving about in an exotic landscape environment. The visitors share the intimacy of tropical birds, rare lemurs, free kangarooes and a colony of more than 50 squirrels in a unique space in Europe! New to discover : " Indiana Zoo ", a new playground, where the children will live plenty of adventures.
