The Castillon dam or Castillon-Demandolx dam is located in the French department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence near Castellane. The dam's reservoir forms a lake of 150 million cubic meters, Lake Castillon.
It is situated in the natural narrowing of the Cheiron hill with the Verdon river passing in the middle. The dam, built on limestone rock, is 95 m high and 200 m wide at the crest, with a flood discharge capacity of 1,200 m3/s and a drainage capacity of 500 m3/s. The power station can annually produce 80 GWh of energy, which corresponds to an average annual power output of 9 MW.
