Accessible only from the Volerie des Aigles (entrance fee payable).
Mentioned in 1270 as the property of the Rathsamhausen family, the château was bought by the town of Sélestat at the end of the 15th century. Damaged by the Thirty Years' War, it was sold in 1649 to the former burgomaster of Sélestat, who partially restored the keep, dwelling and chapel. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1964.
Today, the remains are home to the "Volerie des aigles", offering an impressive and breathtaking spectacle, where emotions run high and sensations are guaranteed: the free flight of the world's largest birds of prey. It's a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with birds that would never be seen in the wild.
Admire the aerial spectacle of eagles, vultures, kites and other falcons in the magnificent setting of the Château de Kintzheim, a unique experience rich in emotion.
