Church of Saint-Médard

One of the last testimonies of Romanesque art
in the Chaunois is located in Pont-Saint-Mard, which houses one of the most beautiful churches
of the region. Dedicated to Saint-Médard, its construction dates back to the twelfth century.
It contains a nave, a transept surmounted by a bell tower and a choir. The nave is covered with frame. The sculptor Georges Muguet
made the altar in 1959. The modern stained glass windows were made in 1960 by Max Ingrand. This church has a curiosity in
the presence of strange modillions on its left wing.
