The Church of La Bresse was consecrated by the bishop of Toul in 1758. It is made of sandstone: the Bressauds exchanged planks for sandstone stones coming from the surroundings of Vagney. The church was burnt down in 1803. The granite side turrets date from the end of the 19th century. The stained glass windows, the work of the Loire glassmaker from Chartres, tell the story of the great Bresse tragedies. During the bombings of the 39 - 45 war, only the church was spared. For more details about the church, and in particular its stained glass windows, see the attached document.
