The Château de Saint-Gratien is located in the municipality of Saint-Gratien, in the department of Somme, northeast of Amiens. The château was the seat of a lordship belonging to the Saint-Gratien family, and then it belonged to two ecclesiastical families of Amiens, May in the 15th century and Saint-Delis in the 16th. It then became the property of the Hirzel family, Swiss Protestants, from whom General Salomon Hirzel de Saint-Gratien came, who sold his estate in 1778 to Jean-Baptiste Jourdain de Thieulloy.
