OUVRAGE DE FERMONT ET DE LA LIGNE MAGINOT

Fermont is a two-hour tour of an authentic Maginot Line artillery structure, with its equipment, underground organization and weaponry. A 30-metre underground tour, by electric train and on foot, through the most representative parts of the structure, and an outdoor tour of the combat blocks complete the visit to an artillery casemate, the only example of its type visible today. In front of the entrance is the outdoor museum, covering more than 1,000m² and featuring an exceptional collection of fortress and field equipment, brought back to life to give you a better understanding of their use and operation. These include eclipse turrets, which are unique in France. Finally, in front of the fortress, the Memorial to the memory of the fortress troops reminds us all that the Maginot Line remained undefeated.
