Installed in the former church of the Augustinian Ladies' Convent since 1801 thanks to the contractor Flamérion who, for the occasion, cut the church into two distinct levels.
Dating from the beginning of the 19th century, the president's and judges' chairs are listed as Historical Monuments. Neufchâteau is one of the courts to have been able to preserve its furniture
The court officially closed its doors on January 1, 2010.
Note: the first trial was probably held in December 1801. A little more than 2 centuries of trials have taken place in this court!
This building is only open during guided tours (except on the weekend of the Heritage Days) organized by the Tourist Office of the Western Vosges.
