Near Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the 18th-century building impresses with its façade decorated with Edme Bouchardon's famous monument: The Fountain of the Four Seasons. Inside, the visitor discovers or rediscovers the work - paintings, sculptures, drawings and tapestries - of Aristide Maillol, artist of the Nabi movement and precursor of abstraction. The museum also houses an important collection of 20th century modern art and hosts temporary exhibitions.
