Inaugurated in 1938 in the Passy wing of the Palais de Chaillot, this museum-laboratory presents the evolution of Man and societies through the prism of biology, philosophy, anthropology and history. The tour is set up in the impressive Galerie de l'Homme and is divided into three sections: "Who are we?", "Where do we come from?" and "Where are we going? Among the treasures of this museum: fossils of Cro-Magnon men or the Paleolithic statuette known as the Venus of Lespugue.
