Roche aux 7 Villages

At an altitude of 325 metres, in the forest of Château-Regnault, La Roche Aux Sept Village offers a breathtaking view of the Meuse and Semoy valleys. Who wouldn't suffer, on reaching this small rock barely emerging from the surrounding forest, the moving charm of this suddenly revealed view? The eye follows the sinuosities of the Meuse, a long ribbon, alternately light and dark, separating seven villages, then getting lost in the mountains, beyond Deville. Here are these seven scattered villages, nestled at the end of a few ravines on a gentle slope, still spread out on a narrow bank; none of them has lost the deep charm of the setting of this vast, eventful mountain range, through which the valley traces an immense "S", giving the whole a surprising relief.
