The primitive building was created at the end of the 11th century by the Duke of Lorraine, Thierry II
At the end of the 12th century, it was replaced by a new church whose western part was built on the limestone terrace. Beyond, the whole of the ch?ur in overhang on the slope of the ground required to support it the presence of an important lower church.
This one thus has the characteristic to have 2 churches in one!
To see: the Anointing of the body of Christ dating from the XVth century, the altarpieces of the second half of the XVIIth century, the lower church...
Outside the summer season (July and August), this building is only open during guided tours (except on the weekend of the Heritage Days) organized by the Tourist Office of the West Vosges.
