In the same architectural style as the church at Lentilles, the timber-framed church at Bailly-le-Franc, built in the 1510s, is one of the most impressive.
Built on a stepped-roof foundation, it is dominated by a long, slate-covered spire. Its four-bay nave is lit by a row of narrow windows framed by wooden crosses.
A variety of roofing materials are used: slate on the bell tower, flat tiles on the nave, and chestnut wood and batten cladding.
This building is one of the few examples of a timber-framed church that was built in one go and never underwent any major alterations.
