A few steps from the "Rochers de la Bande Noire" is a small cave. This cave overhangs the Nesselbach stream, which flows down from the Lorraine plateau, by a few meters. This "cave of the Lovers" must have served as a shelter for the soldiers of the Phalsbourg garrison who brought their lovers there. Well, you have to like it, because this very wet cave is still very uncomfortable. The cave and the spring are associated here with fertility.
How to get there: from Phalsbourg, take the D104G towards La Petite Pierre. Go through the village of Buchelberg, then stop at the start of the forest road on the right, at the Moselle/Bas-Rhin border after crossing the Nesselbach stream. The "Grotte des Amoureux" is on the left, 50 m before.
