In the Zorn valley, between Lutzelbourg and Dabo, near the hamlet of Sparsbrod, lies the Schacheneck valley. This mysterious place is the site of the old village of Fischbach, destroyed in 1633 during the Thirty Years War, of which the chapel was probably the church. The remains of the chapel, with its pink sandstone baptistery from the 10th century, are said to be the oldest remains of Christianity in the region. Below the chapel there is a spring which is said to have medicinal properties. It is said to cure children's illnesses, sore throats, skin problems or scabies.
How to get there: from the D98C after Sparsbrod in the direction of Dabo, follow the rue Saint-Fridolin in the direction of "Etang du Fischbach" and continue straight on.
