The circuit de l'Authion is an old military one-way road (paved) in Mercantour National Park, which leads around a mountain top (the massif of Authion). Along the way, you will encounter military monuments (such as the remains of a fort and a tank). You reach this road by climbing further up from the top of the Col de Turini (with about 10 to 12%) to Basse de Tueis (1830 meters high) via a good road. After that, the one-way road follows, which is narrow, initially descends, and then climbs (sometimes over moderately rough terrain) to 1986 meters high through a beautiful Alpine landscape with amazing views (this part of the climb is almost continuously 10% over a distance of about 3 kilometers). Via the same road you came, you will return from Basse de Tueis back to the top of Col de Turini.
