SAINT-BONNET DE CHIRAC

The commune is under the joint protection of two Saints: Saint Bonnet and Saint Thérèse
Thècle would have followed the apostle Paul in his missions. She would have come to live in the solitude of Saint Bonnet de Chirac. The water from the spring of her hermitage where a chapel has been erected is reputed to have virtues on eye and skin diseases. Today, under the aegis of the association "Les Amis de Sainte Thècle", the renovation of the chapel and its surroundings is going well. A pilgrimage takes place on the Sunday before the feast of the Saint on September 24th
Saint Bonnet de Chirac, a hamlet now owned by the "LEAP Terre Nouvelle" of Marvejols, is the headquarters of its educational operation. It shelters in its heart, the old secular church, registered as a historical monument.
From the hamlet, a signposted footpath leads to the Truc de Saint-Bonnet, from where the panoramic view reveals the other Trucs of the territory flown over by the Royal Kites and the vultures
