La Porte Sud de la Route des Vins d'Alsace

Situated at the southern end of the Alsace vineyards and renowned for its Grand Cru Rangen, the town of Thann is the southern gateway to the Alsace Wine Route.
This route runs for over 170 km through the plains and the many flower-filled villages of Alsace, reaching Marlenheim in the north.
Thann, the southern gateway to the Alsace Wine Route, has a long tradition of winegrowing, thanks to the famous Rangen vineyard, entirely classified as a Grand Cru. Nestling at the foot of the Vosges foothills, the town offers a warm urban welcome, inviting you to stroll around. The old town unfolds around the Collégiale Saint-Thiébaut, a jewel of Gothic architecture, and at the foot of the ruins of the Château de l'Engelbourg.
Three itineraries, with 19 educational panels, take you through Alsace's most southerly vineyard, the Rangen.
