This former 18th-century barn has been restored by local craftsmen, using noble, traditional materials: stone, granite, lime, iron, solid oak from the region? Locally sourced furniture and fabrics, left untouched or given a colorful makeover, add authenticity and originality.
The place is cozy, colorful and tastefully decorated. At the entrance, a small terrace surrounded by a low shale stone wall offers a plunging view over the river for a bucolic, gourmet breakfast. As you enter, you'll discover a balustrade made of an old-fashioned iron anvil and solid chestnut.
A solid oak built-in kitchen offers modern comfort for preparing your meals. This is followed by a spacious living room with exposed beams, solid chestnut furniture and a commanding view of the forest and river. As you kick off your shoes, you can enjoy the pleasant feel of the oak floor as you settle down at the Auvergne table, or prefer the various Zen areas of the large living room: the blue lounge, the cushioned floor mattresses, the bistro table, the children's corner?
The sleeping area, located on the first floor for cooler nights in summer, comprises four warm and cosy bedrooms with exposed stone walls. They are colorfully decorated, with a mix of antique and contemporary furnishings. Two of the rooms have direct access to the garden/terrace, and all are equipped with "king-size" bedding.
Outside, the entire 13,000 m² private riverside meadow, as well as the river itself, are yours for strolling, resting, swimming, playing, laughing, meditating? And, on a clear night, the magnificent celestial vault will gently dazzle you, for here there is no light pollution!
We hope you enjoy "Grange Gaia sur Rivière" and look forward to welcoming you.Nature sports on site and in the surrounding area: water skiing, hiking, canyoning, canoeing, kayaking, zip-lining, accrobranches, via ferrata, climbing, horse riding, cycling, swimming, trekking, cross-country skiing, boating...
