The washhouse stands in the center of the village, at the intersection with Rue de Vivey. Built in 1862, it is rectangular in shape and receives light from the open south side. On the east-facing side, two side doors provide access to the interior, where two basins occupy the center of the building. The first, a larger one, is next to the entrance wall and has been polished by the washerwomen. The second, on the back wall, is smaller and receives the water collected at the top of the Chemin de l'Epine Blanche after passing through three external troughs at the fountain's exit. Note again the bronze hydrant spout in the shape of a dragon spouting water, planted in the mouth of an applied cast-iron lion's head. The lion represents the protection of the chthonic forces of water, represented by the dragon. At the foot of the fountain, the foundation stone was laid by Mayor C. Poulot and his deputy, F. Mercier.
