Dominating the gorges of Bès, the castle of Arzenc-d'Apcher is part of the defensive network of the barony of Apcher.
Mentioned at the end of the 12th century, the castle was developed during the 14th century to complete the defensive network of the barons of Apcher. It was transformed into a prestigious residence in the 16th century.
Today only the ruined walls remain as evidence of its existence.
