Affacciato sulle gole di Bès, il castello di Arzenc-d'Apcher fa parte della rete difensiva della Baronia di Apcher.
Menzionato già alla fine del XII secolo, il castello fu sviluppato nel corso del XIV secolo per completare la rete difensiva dei baroni di Apcher. Nel XVI secolo fu trasformato in una residenza di prestigio.
Oggi, a testimonianza della sua esistenza, rimangono solo le mura in rovina.
