Cornimont, classified as a Station Verte and a Nature commune, nestles in the Moselotte valley, with a scattered settlement in several hamlets. The town?s wealth of water resources favored the development of textile factories, which are now inactive. However, Cornimont has embarked on a program to redevelop its industrial wasteland. An eco-neighborhood has been created on one site, and a number of artisanal structures are being developed in the commune. Cornimont offers a wide range of activities. In early 2023, a local post office was opened in the town hall.
