Abbaye d'Ecurey

Located 4 kilometers from Montiers-sur-Saulx, the former Écurey art and ornamental foundry has been open to the public since 2015. Desired as an experimental site for "living well in a rural environment", this site steeped in art and history was once home to a Cistercian abbey, of which only the abbatial dwelling and dovecote remain today. The former industrial buildings of the 19th-century foundry have been refurbished to house an innovative museographic space retracing the history of the abbey and the foundry, a high-quality cultural program, reception and training facilities, a bar, and agricultural activities (nettle growing, market gardening). Visitors are invited to explore this remarkable 9-hectare site, where the model store also awaits them, with a virtual tour of its exceptional collection of cast-iron models.
Open on weekends from June to September in 2025, admission to the museum is free of charge:
