It was listed as a historic monument in 1938, and its 16th-century stained glass windows were classified as historic monuments in 1913.
The church is rectangular in shape, with no transept, and the originality of its structure is reflected in the design of its vaults. The combination of ogives, liernes, tiercerons and ribs creates five different types of vault in the Montgueux church.
The church is home to a variety of furnishings, some of which are listed as historic monuments, including a bronze bell dating from 1583, two 16th-century limestone sculptures, one depicting Saint Roch and the other Saint Barbe, and a 19th-century celebrant's chair with two stools, probably made of white fabric with delicate flowers.
