A 500-seat theatre, designed to host quality shows in all disciplines of live performance all year round. It has been named : L'Astrada. In other words "the destiny" in Occitan.
On the ground floor, the 500-seat tiered auditorium is composed of a set of non-symmetrical balconies, progressive slopes, passageways and acoustic walls.
This layout creates a space that offers the audience very different seats, but which is strongly integrated into the whole.
On the first floor, dressing rooms, offices and a reception room allow the organisation of life around the
the show.
On level 2, the technical equipment is at ease, the stage is 8 metres high, the control room is joined by galleries and service rooms.
Acoustics
The hall is designed with acoustic performance in mind
The elements necessary for a good acoustic response are integrated into the architecture. Thus, the volumes, the geometry and the constitution of the interior walls, among other devices, allow for a degree of variability in the conditions of reverberation and sound projection. All these elements are designed to maintain an excellent listening quality, whatever the configuration of the orchestras or groups, whether or not there is an amplification system in the hall.
