Représentation théâtrale "Les petits chevaux, une histoire d'enfants des Lebensborn" à Lamorlaye

"When Violette learns that her mother Hortense has been adopted, she urges her to seek out her origins. A captivating investigation begins, bringing them face to face with a little-known part of history: the Lebensborn, Nazi maternity hospitals set up all over Europe to populate the Reich with "racially perfect" children. They travel to Germany to meet another Lebensborn child, as well as a German half-sister born to the same father. Each will bring to the other what he lacks to rebuild his life. Inspired by real-life testimonies and events, this is the very first play on the subject (press kit)

The mother of one of the 4 authors is a child of the Lebensborn. It is for her and for all the children of Lebensborn (they are now 80 years old) that the play was written: a project carried out with the association "Pour la Mémoire des Enfants des Lebensborn".

The play first tells a personal and family story, intertwined with the history of the Lebensborn - which is so little known, and whose importance in Nazi politics is largely underestimated: and this "Great History" is based on the history of the Lebensborn home that was created in Lamorlaye in 1943 by the Nazis.

That's why ALMA asked the pARTage troupe to come and perform it on site!
