Situated on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the church of Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur was partly destroyed during the bombardments of May 1940, with the exception of its imposing 13th-century tower. The nave and choir were rebuilt in the ogival style of the 15th and 16th centuries.
