The south and east galleries date from the 15th and 16th centuries. They are pierced with pointed arched bays with Gothic windows of quatrefoils, trilobes and braces. The north gallery has Renaissance pilasters. Near the transept of the cathedral, on the 1st floor, a small room, accessed by a spiral staircase, was built in 1446. It was, until 1790, the library of the chapter. A pulpit for preaching, covered with a soundproofing, is particularly noteworthy, between the 2nd and 3rd bays of the east gallery. The fantasy of the picture-makers was freely expressed in the picturesque figurines of the gargoyles. Among these, the "Iroquoise", adorned with feathers, does not fail to make one think of America. But perhaps it is more a figure from the medieval festival of madmen.
