Chapelle allemande

Description

The Chapel of Falaise, was built between 1917 and 1918 by soldiers of the 236th German Reserve Regiment, on the edge of a military cemetery. In the 1920s and 1930s, the bodies of these soldiers were transferred to the Chestres cemetery. It was restored from 2009 thanks to the help of Franco-German volunteers, to be completed in 2014 during the first commemorations of the Centenary.
