Saint-Tropez Town Hall

The current town hall, housed in an imposing 19th-century building , was originally founded in 1855 as a school building for boys and girls.

Later, it was repurposed as the town hall. Since 2008 , it has housed Saint-Tropez's municipal services and administration, following a thorough renovation in 2007.

The façade features the Saint-Tropez coat of arms with a tower on a sand hill, symbolizing the city's historic agricultural structure and the citadel. In the council chamber, portraits of all the French presidents since 1848 hang , reflecting France's administrative history.

The town hall is regularly used for wedding ceremonies overlooking the harbor . Inside, there's a hall with large windows overlooking the marina – unique for a town hall by the sea.

The cellars contain a collection of municipal archives dating back to the 16th century , including deeds from local fishing families, tax registers from the Ancien Régime and documents relating to the siege by the Turks in 1637.
