Le Manoir de Foussac is nestled in the Lot Dordogne valley, in a quiet, restful village surrounded by the cliffs of the Causses du Quercy. From the property, there's a superb view of the cirque de Floirac.
The building, a Hospitalet, was built on the foundations of a 12th-century Templar castle. Situated on the banks of the Dordogne, close to the Gué de Copeyre crossing, it welcomed pilgrims on the "Flanders" route to Santiago de Compostela. It is a place steeped in history, with many architectural details reminiscent of its prestigious past: mullioned windows, loopholes and 16th-century fireplaces.
The Manoir is surrounded by a vast garden with fruit trees (fig, walnut, plum, etc.) and numerous rose bushes
