From the welcome area of the small station, the marked path through the Garenne of Puy Grolier leads to the old carding mills. After crossing the bridge over the Vézère, the scenery of greenery and water continues on the other bank. The circuit continues along the street of the drinking trough that rises towards the old town. Then we cross the Vézère again via the Turgot Bridge to return to the starting point. The route is punctuated by signs recounting the life and work of Simone De Beauvoir, philosopher and writer (1908-1986), winner of the Goncourt Prize in 1954, who spent part of her vacations during her childhood, not far from here. Everywhere, in the green water of the fish ponds, in the swells of the meadows, under the ferns that cut across, in the hollows of the thickets, treasures were hidden that I was burning to discover."
