Les Lavoirs et Fontaines

From the parking lot, go up the Rue de la Fontaine towards the center of the village. At the crossroads, take the Rue du Cimetière on your left. At the intersection, stay on the right track and go to the farm. Take the path on your right to the D415. On your left, go along the road for 100 m then turn right. Continue straight ahead until the entrance of the village of Franey. Once in the Grande Rue, turn left and then take the lane on the right of the church. Go up the Rue de Vauchon for 700 m. Take the path on the left of the hunting hut. Continue straight ahead on the tree-lined path. At the second bend in the road, you have the option of walking down the field to the Fontaine de Vauchon or continuing your walk along the path. At the intersection, turn right. Turn left at the next two crossroads. Go down the village of Lavernay and take the Rue de la Grapille (on the left after the church) then in the Rue de Saint-Vit, turn left, cross the small bridge that spans the Ruisseau du Breuil. Go up the Rue du Bochet to the Chemin des Rappes on your right. Leave the village and go straight on for 1 km. In the Bois Les Rappes, stay on the main forest line until you reach a place called Le Châtelard. You can, if you wish, leave the route to discover the interpretation trail which is located on an old feudal mound. In front of the entrance sign of the interpretation trail, turn right and then left at the intersection and follow the edge of the wood until you reach the next forest. Turn left and continue straight ahead to the Placey washhouse. Type of markings: continuity, cross, turn L/R, yellow and blue.
