Cycling Tour B1 - The Road of 4 Passes

Departure from Archettes but this loop passes through Gérardmer.
This loop is designed for sports cycling enthusiasts. From Archettes, you cross the Moselle to reach Arches where the markers will lead you on a hilly, shaded road to Remiremont. Be cautious as you approach the interchange on national road 57, traffic is denser there. The crossing of Remiremont is done along the railway track and then the water body. You then progress on the left bank in the Moselotte valley until Vagney. Here you begin the mountain section, with 4 passes in succession: a demanding route following the Tour de France route from 2014 for 28 kilometers. From Mauselaine, you return to the center of Gérardmer via the forest road of the Seventeen Kilometers (*). After a good descent, you can recover by going around the lake before returning to Vagney via the last pass and then Archettes by the right bank of the Moselle.
Variant: for purists who want to follow in the wheels of the Tour de France pros, after leaving La Bresse, at the Grosse Pierre pass, turn left onto the Roche path for 3 kilometers (7.5% average gradient with a section at 16%).
