Starting at the Col du Surceneux (D23 towards Le Valtin), head west until you reach the Roche des Bruyères (view of Gérardmer) then continue to the Col de Martimpré. Follow the GR533 until the Harfontaine crossroads where you will need to turn right to return to the Lançoir sawmill in the Straiture Gorge. Follow the road that goes back up the valley for a while before heading back into the forest towards the Schmalick (now closed establishment), then take the forest road of the Broches, and finally return to your starting point. This is a long circuit in the forest in the Xonrupt area on the Ban sur Meurthe side. Estimated duration is a maximum of 3 hours. Circuit is 27 km with 500 m of positive elevation gain. Clockwise direction. Follow the markers bearing No. 3 on a red background.
