Family walk - The Goat Trail

Duration: 2h. Distance: 6km. Elevation gain: +193m Access: Bussang is on the N66. 500 meters from the village square, follow the direction of Théâtre du Peuple. Departure: Parking of Théâtre du Peuple, on the right, at the crossroads with the road of Sauté. Marking: yellow ring - From the parking lot, cover 300m to Théâtre du Peuple. This immense wooden vessel, listed as a historical monument, is a unique place in France. - Right after the theater, take the road to Champs-Colnots on the right and follow the "Sentier des chèvres" marking, yellow ring. - Follow this road for about 600m. Observe the landscape: in front of you, the Ballon de Servance with its antenna. To your left, the slopes of La Bouloie. Behind you, a bare mountain: it is the Drumont ridge with its farm inn. - Pass by the gîte Maison familiale de Villers-les-Nancy, continue for about 150m, then take the road on the right following the same marking, then the road immediately to the left. You will pass in front of a farm, then a second ochre-colored one, at number 18. - At this second farm, take the path that goes up to the right, then the path to the left. - Follow the marking for 1km. - At the path that goes up to the right with the Croix Bleue marking, you will have access to the Roche du Frey with a magnificent panorama. - Go back on your steps to continue the walk. - After a metal gate that you cross, the path opens onto a paved road, facing a house. You can shorten the walk by taking the road that goes down on your left and at the bottom of this road, take left again on the road to Champs-Colnots to reach Théâtre du Peuple and the parking lot. Otherwise, continue on the path in front of you, just above the house with the marking "Sentier des Chèvres - Le Lait". Continue on the main path for about 600m. You can see the village of Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle with its church. The path descends and opens onto a road. - Take this road on the left towards Bussang. You pass by the Auberge des Fontaines and its animal park. - Continuing, you arrive at the road to Champs-Colnots, which passes in front of a mission cross, then in front of the Pentecost oak. - Continue on the road to reach Théâtre du Peuple and the parking lot.
