Heritage Loop No. 20 - The Valley of Lakes

33km marked route with a 500m elevation difference starting from Place des Déportés facing the Tourist Office. Head towards the Lake following the direction Le Tholy Epinal until the roundabout at the end of the Lake where you will turn left to return towards Gérardmer. Cross the town and at the exit, turn right to take the Forest Road of Rochires which will lead you to the 4 Feignes in the heights of Xonrupt. You will descend to the center of Xonrupt and take a right at the roundabout near the town hall to head towards Lake Longemer. Go around the lake to return to the junction at the foot of the Col de La Schlucht where you will go left then right on the Montée des Broches which you will follow until the col of Surceneux. At the col, take the road to the left towards Xonrupt and then quickly turn right onto the Forest Road of Béheuille which will allow you to connect to the road of col de Martimpré (about 100m before the summit). Descend left on D8 towards Gérardmer to arrive at the Saut des Cuves. Just before the bridge, take the right path (dirt) Holveck which slightly descends to the Bridge of the Fairies where you will turn left to go back up on the path of the same name. You will then join the paved road at the place called la Cercenée then the Path of the Old Pond, the Bergon, and return to the center of Gérardmer and your starting point via Bd de la Jamagne.
