Pont-Sainte-Maxence - Senlis - Ermenonville

The Abbaye du Moncel, the charms of the Halatte forest, the royal town of Senlis and the Ermenonville forest can all be discovered on this 30 km trail, which is ideal for beginners

Through the Halatte forest and Pontpoint, the royal city of Senlis is just a few pedal strokes away. Between the village of Villemétrie and the border with the Ile-de-France region, a change of scenery is guaranteed, as the entire route winds through a forest that bears many similarities to that of the Landes. Pines, heather and large sandy outcrops helped create one of Oise?s first amusement parks? La Mer de Sable. To discover it, and to visit the Abbaye Royale de Chaalis, the Musée Jacquemart André, or the Parc Jean-Jacques Rousseau, you'll have to pedal your way out of the woods.
Alternating small roads and forest paths. From the Royal Moncel Abbey in Pont-Sainte-Maxence, the route is shared with the London-Paris Avenue Verte as far as Senlis. Specific EV3 markings are then in place as far as Ver-sur-Launette. Watch out for the steep incline after the Poinpoint church to reach the forest! South of Senlis, temporary detour possible as it crosses an army firing range: follow the proposed detour.
Smooth and rough surface: stabilized and asphalt. Some farm tracks with rustic surfaces.
