Then head to the belvedere under the slopes at Pont-de-Poitte, which offers an unbeatable view of Lake Vouglans, the 3rd artificial reservoir in France. It is protected by the coastal law and also protected by a ZNIEFF (Zone of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest), like most other lakes (Chalain, Bonlieu, Ilay, Narlay, Maclu, Vernois, Onoz, Viremont).
