Walking trail: the beaver circuit

By taking this route, you will first have the opportunity to discover Ganauck, a peaceful spot for several species of birds. A few steps away, you will observe the beehives of the school orchard as well as the insect hotel.

Before entering the forest (referred to here as the Kohlwald forest), you will take a long path through the fields. It is in this pastoral setting that a great variety of colors brighten according to the season.

A wide diversity of trees presents itself to you throughout the course: poplars, white willows, hairy oaks, sycamore maples, and glutinous alders.

The route will take you through a junction of 3 municipalities, where the suburbs of Offendorf, Gambsheim, and Herrlisheim meet.

As you follow the circuit back to the Offendorf marina, you will catch a glimpse of the straight line of the old imperial road.

Join the trail and you will see a row of lush vegetation, surrounding numerous areas of stagnant water. Some protected species develop and reproduce there.

Before returning to your vehicle, take a moment to admire the plantings along the school orchard.
