Close to Greenwich Pier lies the Cutty Sark in a dry dock. In the 19th century, it was one of the fastest clippers to ever slice through the waves of the world's seas. The elegant three-masted ship transported tea from India and wool from Australia to the island. Next to it lies the Gypsy Moth, the boat with which Sir Francis Chichester sailed around the world in 1966-67. Other attractions of the charming town of Greenwich include the
Maritime Museum, which recalls Britain's glorious past on the seven seas.
