Alnwick Castle (/ˈænɨk/ AN-ik) is a castle and stately home in the town of the same name in the English county of Northumberland. It is the seat of the Duke of Northumberland, built following the Norman conquest, and renovated and remodelled a number of times. It is a Grade I listed building and receives over 800,000 visitors per year.
You may find Alnwick Castle strangely familiar, having seen it stand in as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films.
Alnwick castle was not only used in Harry Potter but also in Becket, The Black Adder, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and many others.
