In Blaenavon you can go for various bike rides. This one is one of them. A nice loop through Torfaen. Because the roads are fully paved, certainly doable with the road bike. This is a route with a challenge. You have to slide some climbs under the wheels. The train station (Station Pontypool and New Inn) allows you to combine this cycle route with public transport. You're green or you're not ;-). This route can count on me on a 9/10!
