Zakros is located in a beautiful bay on the eastern coast of the island and is ideal for a perfect holiday. The Minoans in 2000 BC found this place and built one of the most important and beautiful palaces in it. In the 60s, when the excavations began, the world discovered not only the remains of the Minoan civilization, which today can be seen in the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion but also the special beauty of the place.
