If you look from the north to the south towards the Ekklisia Agia Barbara, you will notice that the vineyards planted on the valley floor abruptly stop. And slope is not the explanation, because on the northern slope of the valley, you do have vineyard to. The explanation for a lack of vineyards on these southern slopes around Ekkliia Agia Barbara is the lithology. Thee rocks are flysh, and no good to grow vines on.
