The municipality of Bressanvido is formed by the two villages of Bressanvido and Poianella, the latter with a greater number of inhabitants. It is located on the eastern border of the province of Vicenza, at an altitude varying between 47 and 64 m above sea level, on the alluvial plain formed by the debris of the river Brenta. The area is particularly rich in water, with a network of aquifers a few centimeters from the surface of the ground and a considerable number of springs that feed a series of channels that flow into the Tergola, Lirosa and Usellino ditches.
